Jazz Français WDUQ-FM, in collaboration with the Embassy of France, Washington, D.C., launches a major international jazz series. France's most prominent artists, many of whom are rarely heard in the United States, perform before captive audiences at La Maison Française. This ambitious undertaking is a result of the vision of Cultural Attaché, M. Roland Celette and the extraordinary support of The French American Cultural Foundation. Below are some of the artists who have participated in this outstanding series. Martial Solal - A pianist of prodigious depth. Since the mid-1950's. M. Solal has been at the forefront of French jazz.
