Helen Wigger

Operations Manager

Helen Wigger has been DUQ's Operations Manager since 1997. As Operations Manager, she manages all aspects of broadcast operations. These include insuring optimum presentation of DUQ's programming, maintaining and operating the station's traffic system, generating daily program logs, assisting with billing functions, coordinating the satellite feed recording schedule, supervising full and part-time air staff, and occasionally hosting jazz programs.

Helen came to Pittsburgh from WUKY-FM in Lexington, Kentucky where she had been the Operations Manager since 1990. She previously worked for several other radio stations in Kentucky including WEKU, WEKH, WHIR, WMGE and WKXO. In these positions, she worked not only in operations but also in promotions and as an announcer, producer and music director.

A native of Springfield, Ohio, Helen is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky.
