Alexandria Chaklos
Morning Edition and Day to Day Host/Producer
Alexandria Chaklos joined DUQ's News Department in 1995 as the local host of NPR's morning drive news program, "Morning Edition". She also reports on and produces features and reports for DUQ newscasts and hosts the midday newsmagazine, "Day to Day."
Previously, Alexandria was a News Anchor at WTAE-AM. She started as a news and talk show producer and then assumed a full-time news anchor position three months later. In her last few years at WTAE-AM, Alexandria was a co-anchor of "Newsline," a morning drive news and information program. The Associated Press, in their annual awards to broadcasters, cited the program two years in a row as the best news show in the state.
Alexandria also worked at WEEP-AM as a News Reporter/Producer where she was the morning drive producer and a street reporter. She also produced a weekly public affairs program and worked as the weekend news anchor.
Alexandria graduated from Duquesne University and lives with her husband and daughter in the North Hills.
